Myself and 3 girlfriends visited Em Brass on Saturday night. What an amazing feast of fresh ingredients, melt in the mouth steak and delicious puddings. Well done Lauren and team, it was sensational! View all feedback.
What Markéta Hrabovská doesn't like about Em Brass:
Em Brass is just another over hyped restaurant with uncomfortable cool interior (bar chairs and shared tables) and really REALLY average food and service. It reads fancy on the menu (which looks simple but hip translates into cheap and dirty) but nothing we had...was cooked properly. View all feedback.
I was invited to em brass to celebrate my birthday. Although the summers in düsseldorf are unpredictable, we had luck this evening and sat outside on one of those long wooden tables that are typical of annual markets where you share the place with other customers. Although we sat on the civic ascent and sometimes passed by car, it was a quiet night with a certain perfume atmosphere, people well dressed (with taste), but not exaggerated elegant (hippen, young, modern). the service was very friendly and attentive. we ate cold appetizers and main dishes: ceviche (a re-interpretation of these dishes: with fresh fish, but without mais, or coriander, but with a mixture of crumbs and pumpkin pieces), otopussalat (warm), auberginenburger with salat all accompanied by white or rosé wine. they actually offer a rather extensive wine card. to the dessert hot chocolate cake (it was not exactly a souffle, since the heart was not liquid) with vanilla ice cream and red berries. everything was delicious and better than expected (I was the last time more than 4 years there). the restaurant reinterprets some famous dishes, but also has own culinary compositions. the cool would be to enjoy until midnight, but unfortunately this is not possible due to the ordering authority (alone that monitors the opening times of the spaces in order to avoid much noise at night on the roads).
Enjoyed a very good evening meal at this restaurant, the weather was warm so everybody was sitting at tables on the sidewalk. A rain shower passed, but luckily there was a sunscreeen over our table. From the outside you would have no idea that this place has a more than decent kitchen running. Had the grilled Burrata for starter, and a Galician-style grilled veal steak with grilled vegetables. All cooked to perfection. Prices are very fair. A must-try when in Dusseldorf. I will be back.
Casual, small, fine restaurant/bistro. uncomplicated ambiente, very attentive and nice service. great map with manageable selection - the right combination. super stone butt, great loup de mer, the drum on the fish was just as delicious. dessert delicious. not inexpensive, but for what you get absolutely justified. with nice weather you can sit nicely outside - relaxed atmosphere. to return:-@).
Great restaurant, excellent cuisine with many fish dishes - simple and authentic.Inteen fish quite large cinema.Friendly service. mixed publikum from the quarter. a regional tip!
By coincidence we landed here looking for a good wee. Since it looked so informal and cozy from the outside (very small local, barstool similar seating) we wanted to sit outside. I actually only wanted to take the weeping card outside.. but came inside on very competent and super friendly staff so after testing three different weeping and a nice conversation I could decide directly for a bottle. I was also taught a better one: white burgundy can also be strong fruity:). we're coming back. then also to eat!
