I stopped by this restaurant for lunch on my way home. The staff was very friendly and the meal, including the homity pie, was delicious. They offer large portions of pub-style food at affordable prices. The beer garden is a beautiful spot to relax and people watch. View all feedback.

Absolutely terrible service! The bar staff were so rude and unhelpful we asked for food and were told we had to order from the bar which is fine they then left our plates on the table for the foreseeable Definitely treat regulars different as one man shouted from his table to get another drink she did so for him took his money and change back! Love it, being in the bear pit with the lads has the best atmosphere you’ll ever find in any pub!
A friendly country pub with good food and amazing cheese selection. Perfect after a long walk.
Stopped in for drinks on the way back from a walk. Lovely environment, great choice of drinks, the food menu looked lovely (but didn't eat) and I can't wait for the summer to enjoy the beer garden.
This pub is on the peak District boundary walk and I can thoroughly recommend it. I was too tired to think after walking from Redmires but the lady behind the bar patiently helped me choose something to revive me.
