Flaming Wok - North East Lincolnshire

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I have been satisfied with this restaurant in the past, never blown away but generally pretty good... until tonight. I placed a telephone order and was given a specific time to pick up my food. I arrived just 5 minutes after that time and still had to wait in a crowded room for an additional 20 minutes. However, the main issue that has completely turned me off from ever returning to this restaurant (I'm sorry, but I will not be coming back) was the excessive grease. The sweet and sour chicken balls were clearly deep fried, but for the first time ever, taking them out of the waxed bag left my fingers covered in so much oil that I had to use dish soap to clean them off. The bag even had a pool of oil at the bottom, which later seeped through the waxed bag, onto a cardboard lid from a different item, and then ended up spilling onto the kitchen floor. The chips were also drenched in grease. I can't help but wonder if this was due to the restaurant being busy and rushing, not allowing the food to properly drain. Furthermore, upon checking their recent food hygiene rating, I discovered that they have dropped from 4 stars to 3 stars, which is concerning. Taking everything into account and feeling nauseous, I will no longer be patronizing this Chinese restaurant. In fact, it has put me off Chinese food altogether. It's truly disappointing.

We have tried various Chinese restaurants in the area, but this one is definitely the best. The special Kung Pao dish is to die for - packed with meat and just the right amount of kick. Paired with their delicious fried rice, it's a winning combination. While some negative reviews mention issues with delivery, we have only had a few instances where there were delays. Overall, highly recommended!

The food at this restaurant is of excellent quality and delicious! The portion sizes are generous and the service is fantastic. I highly recommend it! 100% recommended!

This restaurant serves the best Chinese food in town. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff are wonderful. I don't understand the negative reviews as I have never had any issues. I highly recommend this place.

I highly recommend this restaurant, we always go there when we don't want delivery (the only downside being that it is too far for delivery). The food is delicious and the service is friendly.
