What Chris doesn't like about Kimpton Spice:
Not used Kimpton spice for a while as had a break from Indian food for a while. Tonight we thought we would try one, sadly disappointed. Only one salad with two shami kebabs, for £9 I think that’s penny pinching. Both our mains, my chickens Madras and the wife’s lamb dopiaza were both watery and lack flavour. For the price you have to pay for a Indian meal better quality dishes were expected. View all feedback. What Florence Anselmo likes about Kimpton Spice:
Absolutely delicious food; the mains were huge and was delivered swiftly. We got the set menu for 2 and felt it was really good value for money. My only criticism would be that there were only 4 small pieces of chicken in the tikka starter, but to be honest it didn’t bother us because the rest of the portion sizes were very generous. Will definitely order again, thank you! View all feedback.

I ordered because of the amazing reviews and can see why it’s rated so well! The food is impeccable. So delicious and would definitely order again
Fast delivery, driver was polite and food was delicious
Korma was a lovely flavour but not to the best temperature which lets it down
The food was excellent. Very hot as always…on time even the lamb was lovely and tender, which seems rare these days!
Nice food but £8.95 for the mixed platter which was 2 cubes of chicken. 2 cubes of lamb, small samosa and an onion barge is far too expensive

read moreKimpton Spice has had some mixed reviews lately, with some disappointed in portion sizes and flavor quality, while others praise the delicious and generous portions. Some found the food to be too oily and inconsistent in spiciness. However, many loyal customers continue to enjoy the consistently tasty and hot meals, with standout items like the chicken tikka madras and perfectly spiced chips. Despite occasional service issues and temperature problems, Kimpton Spice remains a popular choice for Indian takeaway in Hertfordshire. With reasonable prices and friendly staff, it's worth giving this restaurant another chance.
