What glove2222222 doesn't like about Cross Keys:
The Sunday roast at this restaurant was excellent, the dessert was delicious, and the service was good. The establishment is very comfortable and clean, with beautiful views of the countryside. View all feedback.
We decided not to order anything from the dinner menu, so we had to inquire about the bar menu options from our waiter. The special of the day was served with a choice of rice or chips. I was surprised to be charged extra for the chips that I requested with my fishcake. The seasonal vegetables included a large portion of bland green beans, which was disappointing. The dish's presentation was not as impressive as during our previous visit. Overall, we felt like we were not treated as well as other diners who ordered from the dinner menu and received a pre-starter. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

I am really looking forward to our visit after we have seen the new menu online. visited on Saturday afternoon as a party of 4 for a late Mother's Day lunch. the service was painfully slow, although we were the only occupied table for most of our time. there were waiting staff around, empty tables and forward them for dinner service, and we had to clean up our teller after each cursor (after sitting with them before us for about 10 minutes). as soon as our main courses finally arrived, they were in order, but the burger was extremely dry with an almost mischievous, no sauce or butter or cheese. only one beef patty, speck and salat in a dry bungalow. other members of the group enjoyed the steak and guinness cake and filet steak that were all good. as we eat, a worker with disinfection began near tables with a strong cleaning product that exaggerated the taste and smell of something else! overall the menu was limited, the food average was best and the service really disappointing. we had hoped to visit to try the dinner menu at a certain point, but probably not return after this experience.
It's so good that I don't want to tell you about it. we visited cross keys yesterday evening and it was the introduction of their new menu. what can I say it didn't disappoint. the quality of eating and service was incredible. it's so difficult. restaurants of this level to find in the local environment, but cross keys cross all boxes. if you are looking for a creative menu with high-quality ingredients, this is a place to visit. they will also change the menu seasonal!
Service was perfect, which was only enhanced by the magnificent food. Gammon joint and leg of lamb where both cooked to perfection served with plentiful vegetables and the best Yorkers. Extra gravy was no problem and was also delicious. Thank you for a wonderful lunch,...will be back again soon.
