"Very helpful and friendly staff that bends backwards to make us comfortable. the restaurant is very small, so a large group would fight to sit on a table. eating was an excellent standard and all our dishes were delicious. the choice of beer and wein was limited, but a decent quality. General portions meant that we left remains to the breakfast home! we'd eat here in a way."

"Happened upon this place by accident, I noticed the queue first then the old Fish Chips sign. I joined the line of people as I was hungry and ready for something to eat, I was not disappointed, this is a gem of a place and the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted, even better than the seaside. The frying range inside is a beautiful work of art in itself and still fuelled on coal. It’s such a shame I’m not local, but I’ll make sure of a return when back in the Gainsborough area. Well done on keeping the traditional alive."
