"We have been to The Owl Tea Rooms in the past for lunch but today we decided on a late breakfast the English breakfast was very, very good good quality ingredients (sausage, eggs, bacon, etc. plus the best black pudding. Breakfast menu is very comprehensive. Service was attentive and friendly. We highly recommend you try this place."

"Disappointing today, Good Friday , we travelled to have lunch here, myself, hubby and daughter. We ordered two lunch specials, asked for an extra plate but was told by waitress that we could not do that? She wasn’t rude but said things have changed, I have a condition and can only eat very little, the waitress was fine but she was very secretive placing our food down. Personally think owners need to be conscious about patrons with medical issues; Food wasn’t the best, batter soggy, chips awful, A Good Friday lunch that wasn’t great sadly.visited so so many times and today was really upsetting/embarrassing; why should anyone with a disability be scrutinised whilst ordering food, No fault to the waitress, manager needs to re think!"

"Beautiful atmosphere and good food. the two of us raised themselves without a booking on a Sunday night and gave one table. each of us had a starter (tuck bein croquettes and rakete salat, which is actually a side, not a starter) and a main (burger and a bark on Sunday roast) and made very full, not in the position to finish eating. the personal was friendly and attentive. the food needed a reasonable time to not arrive too long, not surprisingly fast. 4/5 and not 5/5, because while eating was good, there is room for improvement my yorkshire pudding was too dry and carrots could be cooked better (taste could be better; there were raw in the carrots;) the meat was delicious. However, after saying that for a pub, food quality was quite large, especially in value-money conditions, we only paid over £50 overall for the meal (including 2 half pints of apple wine, but without tip.) was another point that the menu could be a bit more diverse. the pub is dog-friendly (also has a water bowl at the bar) and has an amazing real kamin that does much for the feeling from inside. overall, this pub would recommend easy to friends with the above caves."

"I was doubtful to go here that there was a lot of vegan scrub, but on the vegetarian menu there were a few curries and a mushroom risotto. both were happy to change to make totally vegan. also the corn cheese is exchanged for an sourdough roll. So I was impressed. it is sometimes hard to find vegan friendly restaurants in coastal towns, but I would rate this place. the food tasted great and the ambiente was also happy. updated by previous review on 2020-10-07"

"We booked at table at tge Chequers Lovely looking pub from outside Bar Service was good But pint was off, end of barrel it was promptly replaced these things happen We ordered a Burger and Lasagne Burger was OK the chips with it excellent Lasagne was dried up abd unedible there have been other reviews about this In short a disappointing experience There are other better pubs in the area They need a new chef"
