"Maybe this place is as good as people say, but I wouldn't have any idea how to discriminate women with babies. When I came up with a baby, I was told that we cannot have one of several empty tables, because it is “policy to serve or rather its policy is that mothers should confine themselves to their own houses!? "Got a chili toastie and couldn't finish it. Bread damp and stodgy. Flavourless cheese. Just tasted of nothing really. Not gonna go crazy reviewer and say it ruined ma life or that but really wouldn't recommend it."

"We ate at this restaurant a few years ago when it was in a different location, and at the time I can truthfully say it was up there with one of the best meals i have had anywhere in the world, so we had to go again, we were not disappointed, the atmosphere is relaxed the staff so friendly and the food was beyond good , no words could tell anyone how good this place is , just go and enjoy every second !!!"

"These people are very hospitable. we had the tee for two. not only was it very tasty and filled with a big pot tee, it was an incredible worth at 20 pfund. although a little from the tourist opposite, it is on a main bus route and worth the trip several times."

"I’d been a bit reluctant about The Table, a multi-course fine dining chef’s table experience, as I couldn’t quite work out whether the ten-seat, single-sitting, New Town curio on Dundas Street would work better (or at all) if you went in a two, four or whole restaurant party. As it turned out, its exceptional busyness meant I had to book well in advance and could only get a week night seating for two, so the decision was helpfully taken out of my hands."
