What Enoch Raynor doesn't like about Blues Bar - North Sydney Harbour View Hotel:
Had a dinner (seafood pasta) and I must say is above average. Quite pricey in my opinion as the restaurant is basic so why am I paying for ambient ? Maybe there is a partial view of the harbour bridge ?Breakfast is boring so nothing to talk about here.Would I come back for mean here ? Nope. View all feedback.
A stunning view from LB's ! Our first visit and if you want a restaurant with a view protected from the elements this is it. Our welcome was warm and covid safe. We were seated to our table promptly and given menus (but at no point given a drinks menu or asked if we wanted drinks quite unusual). My husband and I both had main courses. I had the pinnacle top sirloin 250g field mushroom, potato almond soufflé, café de paris butter it was perfectly cooked and totally delicious. My husband had the crispy skin free range pork belly roast pear, parsnip puree, confit fennel. He loved the combination of flavours and found it tasty, however the chef didn't render or make the skin crispy which made the dish just not what it could/should have been. We shared a side of chips with aioli which were the perfect accompaniment to our meals. Service was friendly.

My partner and I celebrate the Anniversary of our first date at View Sydney Hotel and dinner at LB’s annually as part of a package. We have never been disappointed with any part of our meals here. They are brilliant. We chose the Riverina Lamb Rump and Grainge MBS2+ Beef Tenderloin with Truffle Butter. Both were divine and presented beautifully. Neither of us had tried Lamb Rump before but we now know we will again. The mains took a little longer than to arrive than we had hoped. I think that was because we were starving and well beyond keen for our next dining experience here! That wait was was well rewarded when our meals arrived. For dessert we ordered the Hazelnut Meringue which we both thought was superb. I chose the Cremeux au Chocolat, also greatly enjoyed. My partner found it to be a little rich however. The service was very good but not over-bearing and we enjoyed our experience yet again. We shall return before Spring for another meal to introduce some family to LB’s. A photo of my partner’s Main is missing as my photo is blurry, sorry.
Lovely hotel and amazing dishes! We had the risotto and the chicken dish and both were outstanding meals!
