Food was lovely perfectly cooked. Beautiful pint of bitter at just the right temperature. Friendly service. Lovely September weather and table in the shade. What Peter Cloherty doesn't like about Cross Keys:
4 of us had Sunday lunch here, and enjoyed it. There is a good variety of choices on the menu, and the service is very good. I had roast beef with all the usual trimmings, including a great range of veg, and my wife had roast turkey. Both provided a hearty meal, leaving just enough room for a sticky toffee pudding, or an apple pie and custard. Dietary restrictions: They were careful to ask the vegetarians in our party about their specific needs, and clearly were very aware of the need for care in respect of food choices for some people. I was impressed.
Cracking pub/restaurant serving delicious food. Hubby had scampi and chips which was first class; I had the 3 dip Vegan Platter and this was excellent. Would definitely recommend...even if you're not vegan! Plenty to eat you won't need dessert!
Absolutely wonderful evening with the family. Food was superb, delicious and beautifully presented. Service was charming and friendly. If we weren't on holiday we'd be back every week! Thank you x
Fabulous meal and service. Our Airedale Terrier with his servants, were made welcome. Dog friendly bar, but not in the restaurant, well worth a visit. Large garden and car parking.
Visited yet again and same as before excellent service, great menu choice very reasonably priced, well presented and ample portions. The drinks are also very reasonably priced. See you again in September. Steve and Carole
Booking advised as the chef doesn't take kindly to punters walking in on the off chance of getting a meal. That said, the waitress was perfectly charming and the food was adequate. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
