The stew was very good; the pork was very flavourful and almost fell off the bone. I will admit the pork belly and jokbal were not as tasty as I thought they would be, and we had very little side dishes to go with the meat compared to other restaurants. View all feedback.
Best Korean food I've had in Toronto, the others can't match up at all. Incredibly fresh and garlicky kimchi, really high quality banchan, and the jokbal is so clean and savoury. The texture is PERFECT! Whoever was on the aux tonight also had really good taste in Kpop music
Staff was very nice and food was delicious. Parking was a bit hard to find during the busy
This plaza on silver star boulevard is pretty GOAT-ed tbh. There 's SO many good restos in this particular plaza. Gyu Hito right next door happens to rank as one of my top 5 restos in the GTA. Deer garden (always a solid option; right next door)Came during an evening after my usual saturday badminton session with friends. My friends had already tried this place so they assured me it would be good.We ordered a BBQ jokbal with all the fixings (added rice cakes, sausages and cheese for additional cost), DIY riceballs, a seafood pancake and tacked on a gamjatang at a discounted price (because of a special promotion they had going on). This is the best jokbal I 've had in Toronto. The meat was so tender and succulent. You could taste the char and grill on the outside of the skin. The cheese was so satisfying to wrap around my meat (no pun intended). And they gave us a MASSIVE bone. Like I had to wonder to myself. THIS IS HOW JOKBAL SHOULD BE SERVED. I 've gotten half a jokbal at a lot of places that cut corners. This was no joke. The DIY riceballs were also very tasty. They came to the table unmixed with mayo, nori, furikake seasoning, sesame seeds, green onions and tobiko (flying fish roe) on top. The server also gave us a glove to make balls ourselves (again no pun intended). The seafood pancake was decent (I 've definitely had better). The outside could 've been crispier but there was a good amount of seafood inside the pancake. The gamjatang was above avg imo. Definitely better than a chain joint like Owl of Minerva but it wasn 't 5 star or anything. This was a good filler for us to get us to the full level.Overall, the jokbal is incredible and the riceballs are a must-try as well. When I come back, I 'll try a different kind of jokbal. Perhaps the garlic or roasted one.
No JOKBAL, everything is better with Garlic? We got their Garlic Jokbal. Jokbal is Korean Pig’s Trotter braised in seasoning! This place specializes in it, and their Jokbals are AMAZING, super meaty, tender, flavourful, and full of collagen! First time trying their Garlic Jokbal, it came super garlicky, aside from crispy Garlic Slices, it also topped with a sweetish Garlic Sauce! This order of Jokbal also came with Kimchi, Scallions, Lettuce as side dishes and a Beansprout Soup, def a decent meal for 2!
Food are good and delicious. Good portion, right price, service great and place clean. You want something new from Korean cuisine you should come to try .
