"We went here for Sunday dine to celebrate our sisters birthday. Very nice but expensive for what you get. 3 courses £38, £240 for 7 people and not everyone had 3 courses. My son and I had the lamb which was nice but the portion was small. The rosemary gravy didn’t have much flavour. The Yorkshire pudding were terrible, soggy limp things, not great. "I sat in and had a vegan breakfast (served to 3 o'clock) that came with a small glass of orange juice. very tasty, easy to eat and the service was fantastic, the staff was friendly. they also allow dogs if they want to fall in the middle way."

"Brilliant lunch today. After finding 6 pubs closed whilst on a bike ride, we were welcomed into the Standard by a helpful, cheery guy and ordered from an extensive menu even though it was 2.30pm. Well done!"
