Regent Cakes - Northbridge

What happened to this place? Their cakes and bread used to be so good. I visited recently and unfortunately, the food was bad. The coconut tart had a disgusting after taste. The egg tart was not nice either. Pastry was crumbly. We also got a fruit cake from there recently for a birthday and the sponge was so dry. I wonder if they taste the food they make.  Service was friendly though. It's a shame because we don't have many good asian bakeries in Perth.

Generally like the range of bread and cakes. Cakes especially as they are deliciously light. However, I was very disappointed with some of the meat filled ones as they contained a lot of empty air in the middle. Probably ate more air than bread or meat. Still a thumbs up for the cakes.
