The overall dining experience was pleasant, however, the last two times I ordered chips they were not good. They lacked flavor and I had to leave most of them behind, which was very disappointing. On the positive side, the rest of the food was delicious. View all feedback.
What LLASK doesn't like about Golden Star Chinese:
I am sorry to say that the food at this restaurant was not good. The beef in my dish was not cooked properly and was running around the plate. The rice was average and the curry sauce was decent, but the meat was unpleasant. I ended up throwing my meal in the bin. Wrong food sent, food disgusting, staff rude and unhelpful. Would never recommend. Avoid if possible
Unfortunately (twice) I ate the food and forgot to take a photo...however, it was really good ! Had sweet n sour chicken in batter and chicken satay fried rice each time. Honestly, loved it the chicken balls were perfect! Worth going. Our meal was £17 (2 meals, 3 rice .)They only accept cash !
Food was not to bad but I wish they would take better care of the fish tank, makes me thing about how clean or dirty the kitchen is.
Obviously Golden Star has changed hands. Prices have gone UP and so have the standards Gone Down . My meal was wrong when I got home and when I phoned to say an item was missing I was told I hadn’t ordered it. Shame to see the customer service go down the plug hole. So disappointed in the food we had. Won’t be back and I certainly won’t recommend the place to anyone after few years of using the place
I have my worst meal ever in my life, wasted £78 for 5 of us at berwick caravanwe have ordered several dishes, increases on prices and the quality is below zero,dont waste your money horrible food none of us liked what we got never again.
