4 of us had a lovely meal here yesterday, all choosing the pie. It was meaty, hot, tasty the chips were very good peas hot and not too badly priced. Limited menu but I'd sooner that and have nice food than extensive menu and have mediocre food.

In beautiful weather you can even have something in the outdoor area.

We read the reviews and decided to eat here one evening. We had a nice starter of scallops, but the main course was very poor the fish was anything but fresh, the chips appeared to have been reheated several times, and even the peas were tasteless. As it was a Monday, perhaps it was the chef's day off? Oh and the real ale was flat. There are quality places to eat in Embleton but I'm afraid this isn't one of them. read more.
