This is used mainly by golfers,playing at Matfen. My main feeling was that the interior is so dark and depressing I wouldn't go again.

"Set opposite the Village Green in Walbottle the Percy looks welcoming especially after dark with its lights and outdoor seating area It is the perfect local community pub with welcoming hosts and friendly staff There is a good choice of drinks and food all at reasonable prices and good quality my favourite dish is the mince and dumplings washed down with a pint of 61 Deep, my wife likes the Scampi with a glass of Savagnion and my son the belly pork. They also do great Sunday Dinners which booking is recommended There is a quiz on Tuesday which is so popular you need to book a table. Paul puts a lot of effort into the quiz there is none of the printing a generic quiz off the internet with a rubbish wipe out round here. A Play your Cards Right. Jackpot round and Rock n Roll bingo also makes it a good night All in all the Percy is an excellent local for the community"
