"Went here on a whim as we were staying down the road. Not the easiest place to find in the dark but that's what sat-navs are for. Excellent food, staff were lovely and we enjoyed our dinner a lot. The staff were also nice enough to give us a free peacock pint glass as my daughter works at a peacock sanctuary. Will be back again when we're next in the area."

"Whenever in Northumberland we always make a beeline to The Horseshoes Inn; their Sunday lunch is excellent. The roast beef was wonderful slices with roast potatoes, mash, carrots, broccoli, green beans and red cabbage and of course a yorkshire pudding. The owners and their staff were as friendly and helpful as ever and we can't wait to return again. Tables were cleaned and sanitized before we arrived and after people left."
