Visited before and not very happy. Thought we would give it another try as everyone has off days. Lass serving on was lovely. Food not enjoyable. Batter crisp on the outside (strange colour) on the inside soggy and just like raw flour. Sorry but chef needs to have advise on how to batter fish read more.

"Great pub in a small Northumberland village serving traditional fare. My partner had scampi whilst I opted for the fish and chips, fish was fresh in a crisp batter with excellent home made chips. For desert we had lemon posset definitely made on the premises and a raspberry white chocolate roulade. Beer was excellent variety of real ales to choose from. £55 all in with 3 pints. If you're in the area looking for good honest food definitely be a place to call in at. Be back when we're back up in beautiful Northumberland countryside."
