No real service at all. Dropped in a spare seat, menu covered sweet and sour sauce, dirty bar top. Not really a cheap meal either… really not great.
the food is good and service is great, however the prices are way above what they should be and makes for a very pricey lunch
Lovely food. Great hot and cold options. Kids loved watching the good being made. Make sure you prebook your table!

"My absolute favorite chip shop in the entire world! I'm vegan it's hard to find places that cater to my dietary needs, but this place is awesome! You can have the chips and the curry sauce, what more is there in life? I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that every single day I'm in the U.K. And staying with my sister in Norwich, I eat here! Chips and curry sauce is my comfort food! And if you go in there and see the lovely husband and wife owners? Tell them Joey from Las Vegas says hi! They are amazing! We love New Sole Plaice!!!"

"For the past couple of years, I have dropped into the Goulash House on my way home when I have wanted a good, fulfilling meal and relaxation. Sometimes, I would bring my own beer or wine, but now I am delighted they have a drinks licence and I am able to drink Hungarian wines, including Royal Tokaji dessert wine. It is very much a family-run restaurant and the walls are decorated with large photographs of Hungarian scenery.The meals of traditional Hungarian dishes and some Italian ones are really great. Amongst the desserts, my favourites are delightfully thin pancakes with apricot and cream or chestnut puree with cream. On occasion, I have taken overseas guests to dinner there and they have always enjoyed and now I look forward to taking them there to sample Hungarian wine and spirits with their meals. I am also looking forward to a cheese and wine evening. Now Soho's Gay Hussar restaurant has closed, I urge Londoners to sample Norwich's Hungarian restaurant."

"I'm absolutely obsessed with the Salmon Lover and Combo Salmon menu deals which include Maki, Crunchy Salmon, Sashimi and Spicy Salmon they're now my go to takeaway choice! The sushi is insanely tasty, so fresh and well worth the money. The wasabi tube is the hottest wasabi I've ever had, but so delicious! Highly recommend Matane sushi."

"Attractive bar and restaurant, the outside terrace is shielded from the street. they can eat and drink outside with their dog, which is also allowed on the bar, but not restaurant. the personal was friendly at booking, at arrival and during the meal. beautiful wood furniture inside, intelligent bar and everything impeccably clean. the menu had a quite large choice, there was a menu of local food called Norfolk menu that I saw the optics, but unfortunately this is only available when the whole table chooses the same that is not likely on a table of eight. this is a pretty expensive restaurant, budget £60 for three courses. it was one of the best meals I ever had. my own food was wonderful and I also tried other people, beautifully presented and excellently delicious. good wine list and well kept beer too. an absolute tasty bite I'll remember for a long time."

"Absolutely amazing indians, not from the contrary and was recommended to this place from a native and they were not wrong. the first curry in which I have eaten since the lock and it was not disappointed. highly recommended to try this place if they are ever in norwich. 10/10 all day long"
