L'eau Vive Du Pacifique - Noumea

The pools and park are exceptional but the rooms are 20 years old. I booked a beach view but I got a pool view. I do guess that arrivals after midnight are designed to benefits the hotels. The young receptionist at the hotel was not welcoming, could not register my Amex card, very commun in Nouméa. Considering quality price Nouméa could be less expensive than Australia. The super markets are loaded with produces that are a luxury in Australia if you find them. Street and directions signs at night are almost invisible. Advice to take the bus to the hotel and then rent a car in Nouméa, the choice is very poor, do not pay the full tank in advance.

Home cooked food and welcoming service by this nunnery restaurant. Highlight was the additional local menu with plates (including dessert) celebrating the local Maré avocados, as well as traditional French-style plates and a rotating daily special from each of the five continents on which there is an Eau Vive. Fish was sauteed in butter to perfection. Guests are encouraged to join in Ave Maria at the end.

Great food and variety on menu....good family ambiance

The best restaurant in Nouméa. The service is the best and humble, God is with you when the food at L'eau Vive has not been changed during the last 20 years during my previous visit.
