Yihu - Nürnberg

I was just a little shocked that nagoya has now become yihu, but that has quickly settled down. the sushi is still the same and as always very tasty and fresh. we came as a runner outside the opening hours, while the operator family just took a break on the terrace. we saved ourselves that we were still served and even got a piece of melone from the family table as dessert free. great service, great food (also the new offers are great! and beautiful atmosphere! remains one of my favorite restaurants in nürnberg!

We came here with high expectations since we remember this place from years back, even before their renovation. We ordered our standard starter miso soup, edamame and tempura mix. While the soup was tasteful (yes you can mess up this dish too.. the batter of the tempura was doughy and tasted greasy. The edamame was a pretty small portion, were served on a plate thus they got cold instantly. The Hoso tuna pikant was not spicy tuna , but somewhat boring. The Ura eel roll had lots of rice and little fish to it. At least the the nigiri of tuna, yellow tail and salmon were fresh but tiny for the price. The waitress was attentive at the beginning and offered an English menu but forgot to bring me my second beer later. Their ordering system is a check-off sheet that the guest fills in, at least this avoids the potential misunderstandings. We paid 75 € for a basic sushi dinner with mixed quality, so I award 2 stars. The search for really good sushi in Nuremberg will have to continue for us...
