What Claude Descamps doesn't like about Cafe de la Republique:
Stopped, hoping to get some lunch. We ordered coffee while browsing the very, very limited menu offerings. We were ignored and there was a very loud, awful argument amongst the staff at the restaurant, with shouting and stomping around and flailing of dishes. We paid...for our coffee and left. Went to Cafe du Centre instead and had a nice lunch. Would not go back here. View all feedback.
We arrived on a Sunday around to refresh on a very hot day after an hour. we found a table and sat and waited to be served and waited....and waited. we were ignored by two nightly waitresses. after we were too long. we had to approach a waitress we had to serve. j’arrive has been told to us that she has done minutes later and taken our beverage order. they arrived minutes later so that we have waited minutes to serve. when we were asked about the menu, we were told that they could not eat anymore, it was she said she would talk to le patron. she never returned. we have said that the service in paris can be bad, but we have never experienced that. if you want to be rude and slower service, you will save yourself the cost of visiting paris and come here. make you enjoy one and eat in le beffroi two restaurants along where the food and service is really good.
Was dropped on Monday in the cafe de la republic okt to be greeted with a warm reception by bruno, and a few enjoy a nice quiet night out. the bar looked so inviting from the outside, and we were not even disappointed...within our intention was to have a fast beer and white wine, then go to eat. we have spent the rest of the evening there in a true spontaneous way. even if our host speaks little English, and we have spoken less French, with the help of google, we manage to communicate sufficiently well to have a great evening. beer and wine were very pleasant. especially the red nuits st. george. we would like to thank bruno for giving us such a pleasant evening. I am sure if we ever find ourselves in nuits st. george again, we will fall into the cafe de la republic.
A simple French bistro with a good value formula in a great location. service friendly and efficient. courses for and a bottle of wine came to euro a bargain for a very pleasant meal. returning as a nuits-seat-georges, is a very...pretty small town.
Nice little caffe on a place right in the city. we had a nice lunch with salat and burger and fries. the food was fresh, the service was good, despite everything others have said here. very relaxing.
The menu for starter said trout, we received Salmon instead. Very simple plate with fries and some meat for the main course... cremant was fine though.
