homestead was our favorite restaurant as long as it was open. we are very sad that it will end at the end of the week. our last dinner was unforgettable in every sight. every bite was a reminder of what we lose. a lot of luck for fred and his family. we wish them every happiness in their new home. please they know that we are grateful for their contributions in our neighbourhood. What User doesn't like about Homestead:
The food was very disappointing. Very. The table was very dark no candles even; we couldn't see our food I still don't know what I bit into in my appetizer, but it was hard and not food like, and I was scraping something black from my teeth and tongue for ten minutes. Just Yuck. Also, there were no heat lamps, so it was rather cold. View all feedback.
Family dinner: food was awesome, service polite, friendly, attentive and intuitive. Thank you Homestead!
Great place. Sad to see it. Another great Oakland Locale goes away. Very bittersweet. Good luck for the owners and employees.
