My husband and I love going to this place whenever we're in Oakland midday. THE BBQ CHICKEN DOWN SOUTH SANDWICH IS SO, SO FIRE (it's the sauce 100% . We also enjoy the shaded outdoor seating, friendly service, the house-made breads and baked goods, and the fact that it's local Black-owned (it was student-run at some point . A little pricey. Side salad was not pleasing. Caprese sandwich was great!
