we went to this wonderful restaurant for an amazing hotpot meal. the owner and the cook were very happy to make a hotpot experience for our personal tastes. there were many different types of meat, mushrooms and vegetables to put in the pot and very generous portions. he asked us to call and ask for 1 to 2 days in advance. Very bad food quality. We ordered egg fried rice and kung pao chicken, the egg fried rice was burnt and extremely oily, no taste.. Kung pao chicken hardly had any chicken, the taste was very bad.. very poor quality. I used to really enjoy the food there not sure if the owners have changed or the quality has compromised View all feedback.
Have no idea what the other reviews are talking about. Perhaps their actual menu is edible, but this was absolutely the worst Chinese food I've ever had. We came as part of a tour. Some people on the same tour as us came from overseas, including China. What a let down this place was. The food was so bad it was just sad. Not a single table finished their meal because what we got served was mostly inedible the fish, which only had one half, looked, smelled and tasted rotten, the mussels were unwashed so there was grit everywhere, the chicken looked and tasted like scraps, and you would think there was a famine happening given the other gloop that was served. The best thing and only thing that tasted decent was the steamed egg, which was literally egg, water, some sauce and sesame oil. A random takeaway in Auckland would serve better food than this place. I had to go to Countdown to buy cup noodles afterwards to have a proper meal. Avoid this place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
The only difference between boiled beef and domestic beef is that the beef is so good and fresh! highly recommended!
Excellent food with great service. The owners were super friendly and made sure that we enjoyed all dishes. We had the eggplant with salted fish and the seasonal vegetables. Eggplant was really tasty and the vegetables were picked freshly from the owners garden. Best to make a booking beforehand as they seem to be busy on some days and there is limited seating.
