In Obuasi or Part of the Ashanti Region, when we say York, we mean Beans with Gari and oil (usually red oil). Meanwhile, the GA’s call it “Yor k3 Gari”. So I think the name York was derived from the GA’s. This is the best beans joint in Obuasi that people talk off that I know. View all feedback.
