We had a server today, Christopher, that was amazing. Observant; never had to ask for a thing he was well trained and noticed our body language and anticipated needs. I have seen Forbes 5 star servers not pick up on the signals he caught. Surprising enough out of the last 5 Denny's we ate at the food was above standard at this location as well. "We were passing through Oceanside on our drive between San Diego and Las Vegas when we needed some food. We had three dogs with us so a sit down restaurant wasn't really an option so we figured we would give one of San Diego's popular sandwich chains a shot and check out Board Brew. My fiancée ran in to order our subs and within minutes she was out with not only a Baja Chicken Sandwich for me, but also a warm chocolate chip cookie which I ate first since I'm a toddler. The chocolate chip cookie was fine, but nothing to really crave in the future. The Baja chicken sandwich's description has Marinated, Antibiotic-free Chicken Breast, Grilled Onions, Jalapeño Peppers Melted Jack Cheese on a toasted French Baguette. Includes Mayo, Tomato Lettuce (yes, I copy and pasted that). I'm gonna be blunt here, this sandwich was okay and nothing more. The taste was fine, the size was fine, the entire experience was just fine. I put this place on the same level as a chain like Port of Subs and nothing more.Overall, Board Brew is a fine place to stop for a quick sub and to be on your way. I didn't dislike anything about this place, but I also don't remember anything positive enough to want to actually come back if I'm back in the area. If you are a local, this is a great quick lunch, if you are a tourist, probably better off checking something else out."

"Wont accept cash and the owner has an absolutely bizarre reason why. Meat quality has also gone down and the store is verrry dirty and dusty, especially the ceiling. Used to love these guys and been coming for 20 years since the San Marcos location. Clean the shop and let us pay in cash."

"I come here because the quality was great, even though the prices are a little more than other fruits. I noticed that the quality has gradually decreased, at this weekend I went there and I ordered a few items on their menu. the worst was the raspados. they threw the aroma down and the shaved ice rink looked more like an ice block. I had to scrape the spoon literally to shave the ice. I got tired so I let it melt all the way away and then threw it in the mull. they give a younger crew who works and honestly, she needs more training. if I will pay the same prices, then I expect each time I make a purchase, about the same quality. I strongly recommend more training, but unlike that I will not return. there are other places that are better."
