The Privateer Coal Fire Pizza

I always loved this place, the pizza is thin crust and a little burned because of the high heat cooking process, I think it is the best pizza! Unfortunately, the service really lacks and that keeps me from going back. We arrived on a Saturday evening at 8:20 and were greeted at the door by a young man who immediately said we close in 10 minutes, that would be 8:30 and not 9:00, as stated on their website. He didn't offer to sit down and if I said we were going over the street to Best Pizza, he just let us go. I don't think you should welcome a customer like that, even if they close soon. We drove over the road to Best Pizza, service was fabulous! They didn't close early and had some customers who might have gone to private when they treated customers as if they wanted the business!

My husband and I live in Oceanside and went here for the first time in the late afternoon and sat on the covered terrace. Nice deck and back from the street. The pizza was excellent...complete with a thin, slightly black crust. We have made a basic cheese with house fennel sausage, pepperoni, roasted mushrooms, jalapenos and onions. Phoenix was nice enough to warn us that the salads were great and she was right because half the size was enough for the two of us, which was appreciated. We're coming back! Support your local businesses.

Excellent service. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Wish I had discovered this place 3 years ago when I moved to Oceanside, but I'm a solid repeat customer now. I'm back for the 2nd time in a week. Again, excellent, fresh and delicious pizza.

Eat here anyway! Everything is good We came for a birthday dinner

I met Sage and his wife this weekend for a special event for my beloved friend Shizzie. We have a meeting here for a chance of scholarship and celebrate life, and I must say that this place gave an excellent service. Thank you for giving us the room. The food was amazing, and Sage and his wife coughed hard to give us an incomparable service. The beer on Hahn was damp! The pizza was crispy and tasteful! Even the salads were fresh and delicious. I always wanted to try this place and I will definitely come back to taste these rolled tacos and more pizza!
