"Nice location (a bit of a drive from Ourique), although a shame that they don't have a view as it is on top a hill. But the fruit trees provide a nice atmosphere too. The good is fine, fair price, decent service. When staying Ourique,there aren't many options so this is a decent option."

"The food here I would describe as 'uncouth' - that is to say, having no subtlety at all. Everything - and I mean everything - was drenched in oil or fat, and garlic, from the starter to the mains, even the vegetables. There was no English menu (even Spanish would have helped) and the handwritten Portuguese one was not legible to Google Translate. So we had to rely on the waiter who without any real consultation just recommended the most expensive dish on the menu - a mixed grill of the black pork for two. This was incredibly fatty and not tasty at all - it just tasted of fat and raw garlic. The meat had been garnished with chopped RAW garlic, which overpowered absolutely everything. Service was OK initially but then very slow when it came to the end of the meal. I do not recommend this restaurant at all, there are far better, and cheaper, options in the area. Do yourself a favour and avoid."
