Contribute FeedbackThis was our second visit to la macchia and why it took us so long to return is a mystery. July. 2010 . this place does take some finding even though we are based locally. pre booked the table for 4 , and was welcomed by the chef and waiter, very pleasant people. with the emphasis on seafood Sicilian style we all ordered the tuna plate served in 7 or 8 different ways which we all agreed tasted fantastic and would certainly be agreeable as a main course pasta was ordered by 3 of us all very tasteful and not a morsel left. 1 dish with prawns, 1 with sardines and the last with vegetables. the main dish was again ordered by us all and what a dish it was, seared tuna with a pistachio and breadcrumb topping then sliced with a sweet onion and raisin relish in the centre of the plate . the tuna was cooked to perfection . 4 deserts again all the same, fagottini alla mele with a little crème custard finished off our meal, all washed down with 3 bottles of a Veneto chardonnay and 2 bottles of water many thanks to the owner/chef and well worth the 200euro price.
