I was visiting from California. In Oklahoma for a Graduation but at Cracker Barrel for Birthday Breakfast. I ordered chicken fried steak, it was delicious. We were a group of 10. Service was good. Our server was fun and very friendly. Store was loaded with lots of awesome things to buy. We bought a few things. View all feedback.
What Larissa Teder doesn't like about Cracker Barrel:
Cold food. The hostess was nice and the cashier was nice but the server had no clue. The only thing hot was the country fried steak, turnip greens and the hot tea. The mashed potatoes and the hash brown casserole was cold. The coleslaw looked like it was the smallest bits left in the bottom of the food processor. It should have been called colemush. After two filled visits, in two weeks, something dramatically wrong happened in cracker barrel. Sunny-side up eier are so easy to prepare. you have to have the intention to screw them up. Sunny-side up with a side of salmonella is what they risk. send them back for the proper cooking, they get an egg yolk with a quarter inch white as medium, spatula choped with unnatural angles. manager reports that they come and p"perfect acceptable but he was only the junior manager, reports the actual manager, who is new so. they put an unqualified, untested person who does not have the golden rule of customer service understanding, in a position of autority? Bad Service. We travel a lot and eat often at Cracker Barrel and usually have a good experience but will not go back to the one in Oklahoma City near Meridian Street. The best thing I can say about this place is that we were seated promptly and the person seating us was friendly. After that...after a few minutes our waitress took our order and then brought our drinks. Then we waited, and waited. We heard our waitress tell someone near us who asked about their order that they were running behind on filling orders. She told us the same thing when we asked. The manager, david, is so disrespectful. he has no problem, his co-worker without respect and would treat that they deserve. he must bring his act together. that eat is decent, but his annoyance upsets me.
As usual at cracker barrel, eating is simple and comforting like the Chicken dumplings. it is one of these comfort foods its limonade is also good.
Cook. for dinner I had wels, green with smoked land ham, slowly cooked pinto beans with land ham, buttermilk biscuit hot water maisbrot muffin! only $7. I didn't have to add pancakes with the grape yellow, because I thought I had to do it. they have louisiana hot sauce
