Disappointing. I have been to Louie's before and was satisfied, but tonight was disappointing, to say the least. The chicken fried steak was tough, over cooked (or nuked), and was poor quality meat. The garlic mashed potatoes had a strange taste and were cold. The chips and black bean salsa offered so little salsa that I only used about five chips before it was gone. very, very disappointed. I wanted fish chips to lunch. we have the greasiest fried fish I've ever had. the chips were frozen pommes, also fat. the side of the suppe was cold. was replaced again by cold suppe. finally got hot suppe on the third attempt. the second attempt for better fishing led to a very easy improvement. that is a hal smith restaurant and I expected better. the service was very good. read more.
