Walking into Zapatas brought back memories of several family-owned Mexican restaurants I visit when touring south of the U.S. border. I loved the music and colorful interior that greeted us and the selection of queso and salsas did a great job at whetting our appetite for the meal to come. The portions were generous and I was not disappointed with my Chicken Taco Soup which came with a side of rice. The aromas and fl... View all feedback.
My spouse and I were very pleased with our experience at this Mexican restaurant. We are already fans of Mexican cuisine and this food was incredibly delicious and fresh, not to be compared with fast food chains like Taco Bell. I am sorry that another reviewer did not enjoy their meal, but it seems they were not seeking authentic Mexican food like we were. I loved it and plan on returning multiple times before I leave town. I enjoy the incredible Mexican food at this restaurant, especially their fajitas. I have never had a bad experience with the service, food, or drinks. The managers always make sure their guests have a great time.
Genuine and flavorful. Outstanding customer service from the moment we were greeted by the hostess to the time we paid at the cashier. The food was served promptly, portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.
Good food and service. Very reasonable place to eat for both lunch and dinner. Never had a bad meal here. Place gets very crowded during lunch. Very popular !! <br/ <br/
Authentic Great!!!! For t.... Authentic Great!!!!<br/ For those who have eaten in Mexico and/or the Mayan Rivera, Zapata's food is right on par. I've noticed negative comments about the salsa being mainly chopped tomatoes with a few herbs and watery, this is authentic. Exactly what you will be served in Mexico! Please go in with the understanding that Zapata's is not a true Tex Mex resteraunt, it is more of a MEXICAN Resteraunt! <br/ <br/ That being said, my wife and I love Zapata's! It's a little piece of Cozumel right here in OKC! One suggestion I give friends and family is to order from the specialties menu. Don't just get the typical enchilada dinner...try the Talipia, pork chops, the steak or grilled shrimp. These are all items you will find in Mexico and they are all cooked the same as if though you were sitting at a beach grill, with the Gulf breeze blowing through!
