we had many great dinners in puerto rico. that wasn't one of them. while a similar check to the other restaurants that we went to $50 per person, the quality of eating was not almost as good as other restaurants such as oceano or cocina abierta. in addition, the sangria was a $28 pitcher of fruit juice. The limited menu at this Spanish restaurant was disappointing. Other than the croquetas which were delicious. Great location with fun patio.
We stopped in for some appetizers and a drink and ended up coming back for dinner later that night and then again 2 nights later. The calamari and fish tacos were both extremely tasty. We ended up having the mahi mahi dinner with roasted vegetables and they were cooked to perfection providing us a perfect meal. The wait staff was very friendly and offered great suggestions. The location s right at the start of your trip into Old San Juan and the outside dining had a very nice atmosphere.
We enjoyed the different food and small plates. Very different and delicious food. Loved sitting outside in Old San Juan which we love. We had a nice breeze and we looked at a cruise ship in port. Great service. Loved the food and atmosphere. Would return and would recommend.
We had a lot of great dinners in Puerto Rico. This was not one of them. While a similar check amount to the other restaurants we went to $50 per person), the quality of the food wasn't nearly as good as other restaurants like Oceano or Cocina Abierta. Further, the Sangria was basically a $28 pitcher of fruit juice. Stay away.
I found this place through the open table app. It was right in the main part of old San Juan, just around the corner for the castle. The waitress we had was very nice and it was lovely sitting outside. the food was very tasty! We order the tropical sangria (AMAZING! , crispy shrimp rolls, the vegetarian paella, seafood paella, and the shrimp pizza. My only comments about the food is the the paellas were similar in taste besides what was mixed in them. I recommended just ordering one not both. then, the shrimp pizza has meat in it. this was not written on the menu so pescetarians make sure to ask! we notice this was trend through puerto rico not just here so ask if you don't eat meat!
