What Aimee Abaya doesn't like about Tong Yang Express:
Reasonable place to satisfy your shabu shabu craving. I find it slightly expensive and I wish the sauce selection was better. Satay broth is really tasty and blends well with the sauce View all feedback.

One of there staff Elaine was so accommodating and friendly. I love there shabu-shabu.
Service 1 star. A lady server who seemed who was teaching a sort of new employee in manning the cashier was such a b tch. She was condescending and her facial expressions were very irritating. She did not think it was important to tell a customer that the laksa soup base was less of the creamy laksa type of soup but was hot as hell. Me tongue is comatose right now from the super spicy laksa soup base and the only thing that would provide a semblance of relief is a punching bag with the servers face right smack in the middle. Taste 0 stars. HOT as hell. Food presentation 1 star. Squid, shrimp, mussels and all other balls (shrimp, lobster, cheese, mushroom, etc) were nicely lined up in a well lit refrigerator ... sorry I meant a table. Kill me if that was indeed a refrigerator as I did not feel any cold or even slightly cold or even chilled breeze from its fan. Now imagine the state of the seafood nicely presented. The various ingredients which one could use to make a sauce was a big joke. Imagine the sate as a very thin liquid consistency with had a pale color of brown. Ahm. Hello? Sate is a paste. There was no kinchay, neither was there ginger nor light soy sauce or even a whole egg to add to the sauce. Instead, there was vinegar, a sweet shitty tasting liquid and black pepper. Wow. Food taste 1 star. Impossible to make a delicious dish the quality and type of ingredients available. Balls were too soft and had no texture. Price 0 stars. I got around 12 balls of lobster, cheese, squid and mushroom and a bunch of sotanghon. Imagine my surprise when we were told that it was P345 add P30 for a soup base. No cold drinks were available. I had to buy one from the grocery. Ambiance 0 stars. The b tch of a server's face dominated the ambiance. It therefore stank. Skip it. You'd be wasting your money.
