At first the customer service was so-so and the open and bright atmostphere was off putting but we decided to stay and the drinks were delicious (and strong), sushi better than the well known restaurants here in Omaha the deserts too were tasty. The menu is large and diverse. You'll find something you like. You MUST try this place! You'll love it. View all feedback.
What angela larchick doesn't like about Isla Del Mar:
Food was great! Service was not. We had 6 people at our table. The four adults got one birria taco, we waited minutes for him to get back so we could get the dipping sauce for them, which he only brought one for four people to share. We got sushi. I had to eat mine out of the chip basket because he never brought me plate- I was sharing. He never brought any dishes for our soy sauce. Took him 20min to come re-fill wat... View all feedback.
Saying this place is amazing is an understatement. The food was great and although the place was busy when we came in, it didn’t take too long to receive our orders. Love how there is something for everyone on the menu! My kids are picky, so I am glad there were some great kid choices available! Our server Melvin was super helpful with the menu, and definitely made us feel welcomed. Hope to be back soon!
I had a great experience! This was my first time at Isla Del Mar and I was eager to try the food. We decided to ask our waiter for recommendations and I am glad we did. Melvin was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended great choices that my family and I enjoyed. The ceviche mix was definitely memorable! Loved this place.
What a wonderful experience! Owner came explained menu, friendly and family oriented. Waiter wonderful. We had a huge Mexican gumbo and oysters. Worth every penny! N yes we r black. ? yall better come in here n kick it wit these cool folks. Totally satisfied.
Elia was my serve at Isla today, she’s great, the food was fantastic and the service was equally excellent. I highly recommend Isla Del Mar if seafood is in your mind and your pallet only takes great tasting foods. Try the sushi, I challenge you to try it and tell me Isla or Blue for great sushi.
When I first walked in, I was a bit taken back because I originally expected a straight-up seafood restaurant but instead found it to be a mix of seafood and Mexican, albeit it was a pleasant surprise. There's live music and a robotic mascot that makes an appearance to greet people on certain occasions as well. All the staff were friendly. The only thing I did not find accommodating was the front desk waiting area to be quite small. When it gets busy, it can feel like being packed in like sardines for the first few moments. Lovely place nevertheless.
