"Nice fresh pub food. Orange roughy and chips, washed down with a lovely cold pressed apple cider. Fast service and a good fire in the stove on a chilly autumn afternoon. The well-seasoned side salad and dish of tartare sauce was a pleasant addition. Go early on a Saturday night as a cosy place that fills up quickly."

"Great ambience with Tania at the helm giving great service to locals and visitors. The best cheese scones made on the premises and excellent coffee. Don't pass this place by. Lovely setting and you are able to sip coffee and watch the gliders!!"

"We stayed at a nearby accomodation and had an excellent dinner at Otematata’s Best Damn Pub! The ribs were tasty and cooked really well. The homemade cheesecake is a must try! It’s not too sweet and one of the best ones I’ve ever tried. The service was exceptional! Definitely recommended this place and would come back next time we are in NZ."

"This was my first fish and chips experience, but I’ve loved blue cod since being in NZ and I thought the blue cod fish and chips was amazing. I honestly couldn’t believe how good it was. Don’t know if that’s because I’m new to the dish or not, but I thought theirs was so good! Still thinking about it."
