"Mouthwatering vegan options! The lasagne, stuffed eggplant and chilli are absolutely delicious. As well as their chickpea salad and fennel salad. They do superb coffee too. A must visit on waiheke island!"

"No question....this place has made an indelible place in our lives. Being from the SF Bay Area in particular. After a full day of touring vineyards on Waiheke, my flight attendant wife (who's worked Auckland several times) tells me we're going to this fantastic beach and then have dinner at this perfect little spot there. Of course, Charlie Farleys. It's very much a local hangout with burgers and fish and chips. All done wonderfully by the way. Like most folks I guess, we ate outside on the deck and enjoyed the beach scene and the occasional visit from local bird life. The food and service were impeccable by the way. This restaurant is actually fairly remote for tourists, it's not on the main wine route, so it was a pleasure to be away from that scene for awhile. After dinner I got up to go to the bathroom and what do I discover? Why it's the Golden State Warriors playing the Lakers on their inside TV! Made me want to plan retirement in New Zealand! How can life get any better than this? AND...we get to come back to Charlie Farley's!"

"Really a charm place to go for, the service is polite and friendly. Ommelate is soooo yummy and pretty. Salmon is so delicious, pizza is delightful, even the sides roast veggies is so good! Definitely will back again with our family and friends, they all enjoyed it very much. Thank you La Fourcherte,give us this wonderful dining experience."

"Was here on our holiday during last Xmas. We saw a YouTube video of 2 guys from the US doing a feature on Waiheke Island and visiting this winery so we decided to give it a try on our outing to Waiheke. The Hop-On-Hop-Off bus took us directly to the winery which was really convenient. We expected to be a tourist trap for that reason since it was on the bus route but the wine and food blew us away! This place was legit! We enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant so much, we decided to return the next day for dinner which happened to be X'mas Eve and setting our expectation low since it was so late in making a booking. However the staff was so accommodating and squeezed us in! They also have a casual outdoor eatery (Bistro) aside from the restaurant which we would give it a try if we ever return. It was a stunning winery with a panoramic view of the gulf. We loved the wines so much we brought back couple bottles back with us to California. Do visit here!"

"I really love how they batter and deep-fry theit seafood here. I've enjoyed various types here. I did have a piece of deep-fried tarakihi that tasted weird, perhaps it was not fresh? But everything else was nice."

"Very peaceful and delightful environment. Not too many place can find Eel don in east Auckland. Eel are ok, with the price and amount. They have different gram sized eel to chose, one person chose the smallest size is enough, just let them to cut in small piece, otherwise comes in two big pieces which is hard to chew. ice coffee surprised me."
