Waffle House - Opelika

Poor service !!! Staff serves the regulars and don’t even acknowledge others. Wow ! I’m a local and will eat some place else.

Refuse to sit my party. 2 of the 4 were there. Said ok we will go ahead and place our order and when the others arrive which they are 3 minutes away. Nope we cant seat you . I said help me understand, we are here ready to be seated , place our order. No not going to seat you. Another party of 2 who didnt look like me were then offered the same booth.

The staff were friendly and did a wonderful job. The restaurant was very clean. I had a waffle, bacon, and hash browns. It was delicious! Thank you!

I went to this location, understanding that it was busy. I wanted to place a to go order, so I patiently waited. No one came to get my order. I waited longer and mentioned on my phone call that I just wanted to make my order. After all, there is a mandatory 20% fee I'm paying to the server and cook to do my order to go. Girl with pink hair walks up and stands at the register and says nothing but stares at me then when I didn't say anything walked away. I left to avoid cursing her out for trying to ruin my day!

We were informed today that waffle house decided to change their waffle makers. They did away with the thin waffles and moved to the thicker belgium waffle style. Gotta love it when a company fixes a non issue. Our waitress made us a second waffle even after we asked for well done the first time which she did cook them well done but they were gummy on the inside and raw batter. She brought one that she cooked even longer and it was the same result. It gets burned on the outside but do to the style of waffle you cannot get a cooked inside in such a quick amount of time like they are trying to do. Its crazy that a place called waffle house makes a disgusting waffle. I refuse to come back if this is going to be the “new” waffles. Everything else was the same, just a dirty waffle house per the usual. Our waitress was good though.
