Montana’s Bbq - Orillia

This was my first visit to Montana's, and I was looking forward to trying some of their dishes. I wasn't disappointed! It was a great experience all around. The service was fantastic, the food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the pricing was very good considering the size of the portions they serve. Our server Ally went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed and her pleasant demeanor made the evening all that more memorable. I recommend that everyone try this restaurant.

The macaroni and cheese is nothing like it was. In the past it was served in a dish baked. It was a fair helping. What we had was a small helping of not so good macaroni and cheese in a small cold bowl. We won’t rush back. Must be cutting back.

1st time to Montanas since the renos. Tastefully decorated. Jo was our server. Super service as always. My steak was cooked to perfection. My boys had the fire cracker the classic burger. Really well done. Nice changes.

We are regular customers at this location. The last two times we have been here the service has been garbage. We had to wait awhile just to get our drink order taken. The server never checked in on us or asked us how things were.A server threw our meal down on our table and left without giving us cutlery or napkins. We had to wait to flag down our waitress and by that time our meal was cold. Our food wasn’t prepared with care, the food just thrown on the plate, fried thrown on top of our tacos. The tacos were bland and clearly rushed.Previously we ordered spinach dip and the kitchen staff dumped the crumbs from the bottom of the bag instead of just being transparent and telling us they were out of chips they tried to hide it from us.Overall it’s really gone down hill in the last two weeks and if something doesn’t change I know I won’t be going back.

Two of us had ribs, which they were very happy to clean off their plates, and I had the strip loin. The steak was very tasty and onion rings replaced my fries. Will do again.Lovely staff who are well trained and look after one's table throughout the meal.
