"We came to the Christmas menu tonight. we had skalopps for beginners and crooks and the dishes were very good main thing were psychic, laughs, true and lobster and again the dishes were well presented and tasty. there was a lot to eat, so come hungry the puddings were strawberry amaretto trifle, poched birne and broth and butter pudding. super!"

"Stayed at the shore on a business trip. No services available at this location as the shore hotel appears to have been bought over as additional accommodation for the Kirkwall Hotel. There appeared to be no staff based in the shore Hotel with all the public areas reception/bar/ restaurant) locked up. This was not known prior to my arrival. Check in/out and meals served from Kirkwall Hotel, however evening meal reservations are required. Unfortunately no availability for a table during my stay to try their menu, which looked good. I stayed in a single room that felt dark and enclosed due to exterior fire escape stairs being directly outside window with no view. Room My colleague stayed in was however beautiful. Breakfast served in the Kirkwall Hotel a short walk away. Staff at Kirkwall Hotel were very professional and helpful."

"Ordered Fish and Chips. The server was quite rude when I asked if we could have a closed box. Her response was that It 's a waste if you aren 't going far. Fish was frozen and tasteless. I would definitely not recommend having fishh and chips from this place. £9.00 for frozen fish is a rip off!!!"

"2* as the govt coffee was nice. You normally have to travel to the big city to encounter the level of casual indifference I met on my one (and only) visit. From the moment I walked in I got the vibe that it 's one of those places you 're meant to feel honoured to be a customer. The place was full (it 's not that big) and the staff just seemed to be rushing about in that style of people who are 'very busy ' but disorganised. I got the impression that there wasn 't anyone in charge and everyone was just doing their best without direction. Ordering my coffee was more drawn out then it needed to be and it took about 10 mins to be made, which is ridiculous and at one point I thought they 'd forgotten the order. Nice coffee, shame about the customer experience."
