Daninos Trattoria - Orlando

I am disappointed. I am from San Diego, California, and a lot of times was in Italy. Found this place by reviews. What happened? Why Italian food down to fast food or is it Florida style restaurant?. I order lasagna but it was cold and made using cheapingredients. My kid very like Italian meatballs but didn?t want eat in this restaurant, said it has weird flavor. Totally weordered: 2 x meat lasagna soup meatballs tiramisu $86. That incredible to spend $86 for that. In San Diego little Italyyou can have amazing diner with bottle of wine for same price in real Italy restaurant.

My husband liked the calzone he got, but I think this place just wasn't for me. Soda was served in a wine glass so it was a smaller amount and needed to be refilled more often, but we only got 1 refill each. Soda flavor was weak like it needed moresyrup. Prices were kind of high. I got the fettuccine Alfredo for $14. I wanted shrimp added, but that would have been $8 moreso I didn't get them. They brought out spaghetti noodles instead and it looked OK, so I decided to ignore it, but the sauce wasvery salty and not very thick. The music playing was too loud for me and was like a Phil Collins CD which didn't seem to fit theatmosphere. Water stains on the ceiling were distracting and the atmosphere felt unfinished. There were a lot of customers andthey all seemed to be having a good time. So I don't know. It was just ok. Between the two of us, the bill was $40 plus tip

Food was fresh and tasted delicious. The lasagna was a little salty and cheese than authentic but still above any chain Italian. Recommend and will return. Espresso was well made. The staff was friendly and welcoming!

My family and I spend a lot of our vacation time in Orlando, and we get tired of all the tourist trap restaurants. So, we try to find good places that the locals eat. Danino?s is one of those places! It has been a long time since I have had Italian foodthis good. I had the chicken parmigiana, two of my family members had the chicken Marsala, and one had a build your own pastawith 4 cheese sauce and shrimp. I had to stop all of us, myself included from licking the plates! Time to dig into sometiramisu! Staff was all wonderfully attentive. Owner and chef both came by to check on us!!! We will most definitely bereturning soon!

Food is as good as it gets, homemade bread, chicken Parm, pasta cooked to perfect al dente, topped with a delicious tomato sauce made like I do with fresh tomatoes at home, will be driving 2 hours regularly for this!
