My wife and I had the same experience when we ate there over 10 years ago. It is unfathomable for me as they are able to maintain this level of consistency and excellence. "We stayed on a pfeife in el tapatio, while I would like to think in the opposite of the 1hr run. that was the best Mexican restaurant where we have lived in the southwest since then. we had fajitas and carnitas and both were excellent. our little guy loves guacamole and he was not disappointed. his children taco was perfect; good part, lean bark and a fresh mais tortilla. He was so happy. the margarita was delicious and he pina colada was a show stuffing with a honey roasted goblet coated in cocosnuss. the price was fair for the portions, quality and service. they were so gracious and generous with the chips and salsa! there is no way that place was full. I highly recommend it."
