I recently tried the Prime Rib (medium rare) and the Barrel Cut Sirloin (topped with mushrooms and Swiss cheese) at this restaurant. I also enjoyed a cream of crab soup, salad, potatoes, and vegetables. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The prices are very affordable and the atmosphere is perfect for a fine dining experience. I highly recommend stopping by to enjoy a meal here. They also offer lunch specials, wh... View all feedback.
What Beverly Becker doesn't like about Tait's Bill Of Fare:
Waitress, very friendly and accomodating. Their special soup was tasty, however everything else very bland, potatoes under cooked, vegetables soggy, underwhelming dinner. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 View all feedback.
Don't miss this one! This is one of our absolute favorites. If my husband and I lived closer (we are in E Tawas, we would be there every week. The ambience is warm and welcoming, casual, but also elevated. The staff is wonderfully friendly, attentive and efficient. Eating is the best of this page of Michigan if you are looking for Upscale. We don't have many choices in this arena, so we are very grateful for Tait 's! Invoice Tait is there every night to see things go smooth. He goes around the tables and chats with the people, and you know that someone who loves their restaurant so much takes care of it. One of the things my husband and I like best is the cozy pace. The courses are good steps, so you're going to 't go to your ducks before you are pressed while you still eat your appetizers. When we finished each course, the next course was served. Perfect. Another thing we like is that you are served soup and salad, it is no choice between them. This is a special feature, and really adds to the experience because you have served at least these two courses before the Entree. We think it keeps things flowing nicely, and gives the staff a good chance to help people easily because the soup keeps the customers busy and is not difficult to use. The 'Millenium' soup is her speciality, and is melted with black beans and a Mexican white cheese in the middle. It has a rich taste, and we enjoy it a lot. Between fresh bread, soup and salad we are sometimes full before our entree is served, but we SOMEHOW also make good progress on it! We had the steaks and prime rib, all tasty, as well as the skirt steak, which marinated and has a wonderfully intense taste. I'm going for the lamb chops next time, they lured me. There are many potato and rice side dishes to choose, and they are all quite good. There was a tasty potato risoto similar to potatoes (no rice in it!) and simple steakries that were perfectly cooked. We love this place. It feels like a cross between a French restaurant and a farm inn. Can't wait to go back!
We had Chicken Especiale and Perch for take out. All 4 meals were outstanding! The chicken was cooked to perfection as was the perch. Let's not forget the Millennium soup. Yumm!! Excellent meal! Love this place.
The millennial soup is out of this world. Hidden gem in oscoda.
