"This is a good pita place, fast and friendly. My daughter likes mild to no spice so they let her try the rice first just in case. She liked it.We got a chicken and rice special and a chicken shawarma pita. Both were good and sizable.One thing to keep in mind they will ask you if you want hummus and garlic sauce, these are not included, they are .75 cents each extra, so for the two items that's $3 extra.For the 2 items plus one bottle of Pure Life water and tip $32.65. "One of our favourite casual lunch spots serving gourmet food. Their lasagne is always a favourite and again it didn't disappoint. My husband loved it. I enjoyed the lamb shank. Tender and served with 2 sides. I chose the fresh veggies which were perfectly cooked. "Avanti Trattoria is located in the downtown core of Oshawa. If your going to the Regent Theatre or the Teibute centre for a concert it's a great place to grab a meal before hand. I love their pizza. It's always good and they have an amazing garlicky Caesar salad. They always have specials and the cost of the food is reasonable. When I've been there with a large group everyone enjoys their meal from pizza to pasta. Lots of pasta dishes available too."
