I love fish chips, especially halibut. The day I was there it was greasy and more batter than fish. Hope when you go it will be better.

"One of our favourite casual lunch spots serving gourmet food. Their lasagne is always a favourite and again it didn't disappoint. My husband loved it. I enjoyed the lamb shank. Tender and served with 2 sides. I chose the fresh veggies which were perfectly cooked. "Avanti Trattoria is located in the downtown core of Oshawa. If your going to the Regent Theatre or the Teibute centre for a concert it's a great place to grab a meal before hand. I love their pizza. It's always good and they have an amazing garlicky Caesar salad. They always have specials and the cost of the food is reasonable. When I've been there with a large group everyone enjoys their meal from pizza to pasta. Lots of pasta dishes available too."
