Stag’s is an honest, down to earth place to go. Great prices on drinks, and they know how to use a deep fryer (I have a thing for french fries onion rigs too)....

"One of our favourite casual lunch spots serving gourmet food. Their lasagne is always a favourite and again it didn't disappoint. My husband loved it. I enjoyed the lamb shank. Tender and served with 2 sides. I chose the fresh veggies which were perfectly cooked. I didn't choose a second side as all the offerings that were of interest to me had garlic which at lunch, when returning to work, isn't always a good idea :"

Fortunately, we visited on a Friday morning and relished the opportunity to leisurely experience everything. "As always, The Keg provides another excellent meal. I ate in other places, and this was also a great place. My friend and I ordered both steaks, and they were cooked for perfection. The starters and sides were also very well done. Our waitress was very nice and was a great help in leading through our decisions. Thank you."

"Had the haddock and chips, with tartar sauce and coleslaw. The haddock piece was gigantic and very filling, but one end of the fish was just batter with no fish in it. The fries were very soggy but tasted great. The coleslaw didn't look very appetizing but it was actually good in taste, it looked like the cabbage was all grinded/mashed up. The tartar sauce was excellent too. The restaurant, although I did takeout, was very clean and the staff seemed friendly. Overall I will eat here again but it wasn't a perfect five stars."
