"An exceptional dinner.. in a charming location and with the fireplace on... really beautiful. The wine was exceptional and the dishes really super...with a mix of original flavors and combinations, at the same time fresh the " raw"...gamberi scampi and oysters with a unique taste. "When eating out, at least in this part of Italy, one often is surprised of the lack of other cuisine than Italian. El Fogon offers Mexican, in a simple way. And so it represents something refrshingly different. But it is also an odd experience. It's not very centrally located in Sassari, and also has a strange membership/socio thing. You have to sign in. No obligations. But they want your name. And no one there wants to tell why. Might be to get public money for being a political establishment? Also no credit card accepted. Cash only. Strange for a place with Tripadvisor stickers plastered on the door.... The food was ok, but served suspiciously fast. Seemed microwave cooked. The interior was colorful. Mexican style. In short, refreshing change, but nothing to brag about. Mediocre."

"I was here last night for my cousin's birthday. from the beginning we found ourselves very well, we were greeted by a very kind staff very prepared on every kind of dish on the menu. while having a quantity of meat to choose from, we opted for the Giromanzo (five cuts and different types of beef) that from the first mouth made us dream so much to ask the bis and tri of two specialties. meat really cooked well and super soft, melted in the mouth. we accompanied everything with cagnulari and an excellent Sardinian craft beer. the price was very honest for everything we ate and for the quality of the products, I recommend you try this place because you will not regret it. I add that they also own a five-foot football field for those who want to first enjoy a small party with friends and then a good dinner!"
