Pepe's Mexican - Oswego

My husband and I recently came across Pepe's Mexican restaurant. We've had dinner twice on Friday evenings. The place was clean, the servers were friendly and offered suggestions on meals and drinks. The wait time is reasonable and prices are fair for the portion sizes. I will say if you are used to delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine, stay away from the Americanized yellow cheesy meals and cheap tequila for your margaritas. (If it's dripping with yellow cheese, it's not real Mexican food. We liked their chicken mole and tostadas. We don't care for very sweet margaritas but their strawberries were fresh in the margarita with Patron tequila. We didn't like the Oaxacan (Mayan tamales, they were too dry for us but others may like them just fine. We would stop in again and try out other dishes and drinks. They have happy hour on Thursdays with discounted drinks.

Always great food and great service. I usually get the taco salad or burrito Frito . The Carne Asada is Highly recommended for Oswego dining

Great family special on the nights when you just can't get it together to make dinner! Their food is consistent and tasty. I love the pickled vegetables to garnish my tacos. They also have half price margaritas twice a week which can't be beat!

Friendly staff. To me that makes all the difference because honestly, I can stay home and make my own tacos. It's nice to have friendly reliable service. Thumbs way up to them.

Dinner for two had a great time affordable Margaritas are great what a better way to spend a Sunday they remodeled the restaurant and the new tables and stuff like that I never had a problem there I would recommend it I never give five stars to anyone so four stars
