"This is one of the best restaurants in Ottawa! The food is authentic Balkan: the flavors are amazing! The service is incredible, the owners are always there to chat give good suggestions or simply just to welcome you warmly! They have just came up with the new dish, it is Cornbread Chicken Casserole (I am attaching a photo of it here)! It is hard to describe the quality of it!!!! I highlighted recommend this place!!"

"These new locally owned restaurants popping up in Orleans are giving many of the more established ones in downtown Ottawa a run for their money.Essentially a tiny lunch counter with a couple of tables for dine-in located near the mall on St.Joseph's, while the place might be small the quality of the food and the value is huge.We had 'The Summer Dress' and the 'P.A. Day' on their homemade egg bun, you can taste the freshness and the care they take in preparing their food. The chain sandwich shops really cannot compare and the other take-out counters located on St.Joseph have some incredible competition in these relatively healthy and well priced food options.They also offer an attractive array of homemade soups and salads.Great fast service as well.One of the best lunches we've had in the area."

"This place is a gem in the city of Ottawa. My boyfriend happened to find it and we decided to check it out on our way home. We were not disappointed, the sandwiches were fresh and delicious, and the tortellini was pasta that I would expect to come out of a nonnas kitchen. AND last but not least don't make the mistake of missing out on the the cannoli's. It was the best cannoli I have ever had. Overall a delicious adventure."

"I hate to post this review, because I don’t want to attract more people to vie for my seat at one of my favourite restaurants. But Meat Press deserves crowds and prosperity. It serves fabulous smoked duck, excellent aged steak, and the best smoked meat...I have ever eaten—and I eat it everywhere. Terrific fries, and a Brussels sprout Caesar salad that is a revelation. The kitchen is small, and when there’s a crowd for lunch, service can be slow. But the competition for a table and wait for your food is eminently worth it. There is a fine selection of wines, beers, and pops ! . Altogether a great place to eat."
